Belgium Carnival 2017

Graham loves Mardi Gras! So when we explained to the children that we were going to the Mardi Gras in Belgium, Graham's first thought was catching beads...  But that wasn't quite the case; instead, we settled for some Belgium loot including packs of tissue, apples, soccer balls, suckers, Belgian waffles and lots of confetti.  HA!  (My Dad always reminds us that "variety is a spice of life!") Carnival, 2017!

Fall Fever

Fall is falling upon us.  The days have shortened. The apples have all been plucked and the pumpkins carved.  Strokes of red, orange, and yellow paint the tree-lines and falling foliage litters the sidewalks.  Cider and Gumbo.  A season of reflection and thanksgiving.  It is a most beautiful time of year.

This is our family Fall!

Battle of Waterloo - Waterloo, Belgium

This Waterloo stuff doesn't interest me the least bit...

Teaching Graham about how corn in grown on the same grounds where Napoleon lost the Battle of Waterloo 200 years ago this past June.
