Sentosa, School, Snips, and a Safari from Singapore

Sentosa Universal Studios

First School Days

And the smile has definitely faded to tears since these pictures were taken...I guess learning Chinese will do that to a child.  Ha!

First Snips

After two years, it was finally time for the child to have his first haircut...

One last photo before his first haircut.

Daniel was so patient with Graham.  He used to cut our hair when we lived in Singapore three years ago as well.

Singapore Night Safari

We managed a few photos.  Flash photography of the animals isn't permitted.  I wish I could have snapped a photo or two of Graham's roaring at the lions.  It was definitely a priceless parent moment.

So grown up and handsome.

Easter 2014

Happy Easter everyone!  By now, I am sure most of you have heard that we did not make the Easter egg hunt or brunch in Cambodia...ha!  I guess there is always next year...and at least my husband is still laughing over my gaffe.  I am sure he will offer a friendly ribbing every Easter from now on.

Anyways, wishing everyone back home a blessed day wherever your plans may or may not take you!

Family Fun in Thailand

A little family fun on the islands off of the Andaman Sea in Krabi, Thailand.  Our favorite destination yet!

Taking a boat ride to our hotel

A tractor pulled our boat to the beach.  And my new favorite refreshing drink, the "Welcome Drink," fresh coconut juice with a scoop of lime sherbet.

A trip to Thailand would not be complete without an introductory cooking class.  I spent an afternoon preparing a few savory Thai dishes and learning about the native spices, curries, and local cuisine.  The menu included prawn cakes,  Thai curry with chicken, and my favorite Pad Thai (stir-fried rice noodles with prawns).

The rest of our time was spent enjoying the beautiful beaches and the stunning scenery in this little slice of paradise in southern Thailand.

Chicken Island

Mosquito Island was the setting for the drama, The Beach starring Leonardo Dicaprio in 2000.

Jason and Graham swimming with the fish.

And yes, the water was this clear!

Long tail boats are used to taxi in tourism workers and goods to the islands.

Some even serve food off of their boats.

These two boys were in heaven even though their expressions may not show it.
