When the boys are away, the ladies play and sip away!

All Aboard!

  For Graham, his love of the locomotive must be in his blood; after all, his great-great grandfather and great grandfather made their livelihoods in the railway business.  So for his fourth birthday, we surprised him with an afternoon on board an old Dutch steam engine where he had his ticket punched like the olden days and an ice-cold bottle of coca-cola.    It was a perfect way to celebrate his special day and share some fun family time.

All aboard!  

 I think it is safe to say this train-lovin' boy had his day made aboard this classic "Steam train, Dream Train"!  

School birthday 

  In the Netherlands, when a child turns four, the next day they are expected to begin the four year-old class no matter how late in the school year...what a way to say "Happy Birthday!"

A few of the kids asked the teacher if they could throw away their cookies...lol!  The Nugents on the other hand...  Where is a batch of Aunt Penny drunken tea cookies when you need one!

When your mom isn't much of a baker and doesn't let the cake cool long enough before icing... 

We have been so blessed to call this smart, loving, and soft-hearted boy ours for the past four years!
