Ok, so it wasn't the Carnival that I was hoping to attend...nevertheless, Mardi Gras in Thibodaux is always a fun time with family and close friends. Carnival in Rio...maybe we will try next year?!

Graham's Nine Month Fun Facts
What a month of firsts and progress for a little guy! Each day seems to bring about new discoveries for Graham; and, Jason and I are so happy to be back together again to share in these milestones.
*Graham has plenty of Brazilian admirers!
*We are happy to report that Graham is now sporting two bottom teeth.
*Graham had his first Mardi Gras experience in Louisiana. (I think we may have to wait until he gets a little older before we take him to experience Carnival in Brazil though.)
*We also took him to the pool and beach for the first time. He seemed to enjoy both; although, he didn't quite know what to make of the sand at first.
*After Jason's training session in Houston the day after Mardi Gras, we all flew back to Brazil. This time around was still challenging, but two additional hands went a long way!
*Graham is still mastering his army crawl, but has added a few new tricks to his repertoire.
*He is pulling himself up and eating finger foods on his own.
*Graham is a master at finding the smallest tag on anything and everything he comes into contact with. (Luggage, pack-n-play, stuffed animals...you get the picture)
*And, he even had a little bo-bo before leaving Louisiana. Fortunately, that all seems to be better now.

The Week In Pictures
Jason had to spend a few days in the Rio office this past week, so we spent our time soaking up the sun and views too. Enjoy! (We surely did!)

Graham's Eight Month Fun Facts
Eight months...and to think just a short four until Graham turns 1!! Well, this has been by far, the funnest stage yet. Each day Graham seems to showoff a new skill or talent. Here are a few highlights from the past month--minus a few I forgot to jot down.
* Graham is a quite a curious little fella, observing anything and everything his eyes glance upon.
* He recently discovered his shadow and just thought it was funniest thing!
* He loves when we sing the ABC's.
* He is still adjusting to eating solids, putting up a fight for the first few bites and then devouring every last bite.
* And, he is a baby on the move! His little scoot is so unconventional, but it gets him where he wants to go.
| Ok, so the weather this past week made us think we were back in Brazil for a second...Graham loves his wagon rides! |
Looking back on my posting from Christmas, I realized the picture below was not included in any of the collages. And, how could I not share this photo of these two?!!! See any resemblance??

Graham's Seven Month Fun Facts
December has been a very busy time for us to say the least, but I am just happy that our little family is together again. Along with all the usual Christmas festivities, Graham celebrated his 7-month birthday on the 20th and Jason arrived back home on the 14th. Airport pickups are always the best, and this homecoming was no different, even if it did Graham the full 45-minute ride home to bond with Jason again.
Here are a few highlights from our little man's month:
*Sadly, Graham has outgrown his monthly weigh-ins with the fish scale, but he did weigh over 19 pounds when Jason put him on our scale.
*He can feed himself a bottle and often times mistakes a plastic water or soda bottle for his own bottle.
*Jason has been trying to teach Graham to crawl. He can get up on all fours and then he rocks back and forth for a few seconds, but that is the extent of his crawling skills for now.
*I thought for sure Graham would have cut a single tooth by now, but not the case. Graham has discovered his tongue though!
*And Aunt Mary gets credit for teaching Graham his newest trick: clapping.
I will post pictures in a separate posting from Graham's first Christmas. We hope your Christmas was as blessed as ours!
